“The Longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures or successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the factHave you ever noticed that when you are happy you get so much more accomplished? It’s because you aren’t thinking about all the negative stuff that is, or has been, going on around you and you are focusing on the nice card that someone sent you in the mail the day before… When we decide to be happy, it changes everything about you, AND the people around you. You know the old saying, “Smiles are contagious?” Why do we smile? Because we are HAPPY! So, logic would lead us to believe that happiness is contagious too!
that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes.”
Think about the last time that you went into Panera Bread, Starbucks, or McDonald’s and the person waiting on you was extremely pleasant and had a smile on their face the whole time… There’s a 90% chance that you left happier than you were when you entered. This is how your customers’ interaction is with you too! A happy employee of your company means a happy client or customer, and that means the relationship is even stronger between you and your client.
THAT is what Social Media Marketing, and good branding is all about. A good brand, especially one that is effectively carried through to your social media marketing, should resonate with tremendous positivity. Since people are naturally drawn to that type of attitude, you are starting to build a relationship with your clients BEFORE you even meet them!
A book which I will be talking about at a later date, “FISH,” by Stephen C. Lundin, Harry Paul, and John Christensen is a remarkable book which talks a lot about “choosing your attitude.” This book, a short and easy read, is all about catching the energy and releasing the potential. It is remarkably effective!
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this subject, so let me know what you think!
Stay Delicious!
